BENEVOLENT FUND MINISTRY
The Benevolent Fund is intended to provide relief, emergency assistance, and contribution to members in need. Love offerings and expressions of sympathy are made to members and/or their families in cases of illness and death.
BIBLE STUDY MINISTRY
The mission of the Bible Study Ministry is to present Christ and the message of salvation throughout the Bible Lesson. To assist the class in accepting the authority and infallibility of the Bible as God's word in written form.
BREAD MINISTRY
This ministry has not lost sight of the fact that everything that comes our way from God is to be shared and hot stored. Keeping this in mind, we provide and share a variety of breads to people in the community regardless of religious affiliations.

BROTHERHOOD MINISTRY
The mission of the Brotherhood Organization is to assist the church in leading men and boys to a deeper commitment to a Christian life.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH MINISTRY
The mission of the Children's Church is to teach bible-based lessons about Jesus and his commandments to every child and to prepare them for fulfilling these commandments throughout their lives.
DEACON MINISTRY
Deacons are appointed servants of the church and helpers to the pastor. They oversee the business of the church which includes church welfare; church finances; church maintenance and repairs; pastor's welfare and expenses’; teachers and doers of the word; and conducting baptism and communion.
DEACONESS MINISTRY
The mission of the Deaconess is to assist the Pastor and Deacons in carrying out the pastoral ministries of the church and assist in the preparation of the church ordinances and other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Board of Deacons.
DOOR-TO-DOOR FIELD MINISTRY
The mission of the Door-to-Door Ministry is to share the Plan of Salvation by taking it to the homes of those who might not otherwise be introduced to God's Holy Word. It is expected that encouraging others to get to know Jesus in their hearts will lead them to become members of the Body of Christ. In addition, it is expected that these individuals will develop a desire to fellowship with other brothers and sisters by choosing a church home in which to worship and serve.
FINANCE MINISTRY
The annual budget of the Original First African Baptist Church will be based upon the receipt of tithes and offerings from members, contributions from visitors, friends, auxiliaries, fundraising activities and special efforts including, but not limited to the Church Anniversary, Men's Day, Women's Day, Friends and Family Day, etc.
CHOIR MINISTRY
The mission of the choir ministries is to sing during worship service each Sunday and anytime called upon to render music for the church. The choirs which make up this ministry are the Total Praise Sanctuary Choir, The Youth Choir and the Male Chorus.
JUNIOR USHERS MINISTRY
The mission of the Junior Ushers is to serve God, to greet our visitors and guest to our church and to extend all acts of kindness to make them feel welcome.
DIETARY SERVICES
To feed and serve our Brothers and Sisters while displaying Christian love and to serve as a beacon to anyone who hungers and thirsts for physical as well as spiritual nourishment.
MOTHER BOARD MINISTRY
The Mother Board’s primary mission is to provide outreach to assist with the welfare of the poor and needy and to willingly assist in any task to help our church and the community.
NEW MEMBERS ORIENTATION AND DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY
The goal of the New Members Orientation and Discipleship Training is to help acquaint new members with their role as new members in the Body of Christ. Also, bible-based lessons will give new members the opportunity to hear the good news of God and to introduce students to the tremendous responsibilities that face Christians.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
The Nursing Home Ministry, organized in November 2001, is an outreach of the Willing Workers Auxiliary. The mission of the Nursing Home Ministry is to visit and share the word of God with individuals and groups who are confined to the nursing home.
PRAISE DANCE MINISTRY
Known as F.A.I.T.H. (Faithful and Inspiring Through Harmony of Dance) since 2009. Our purpose is to dance unto the Lord and glorify His Name. We hope to bless someone’s life through our dance while making God’s presence felt. As well as uplift our walk in life on this journey. Range from ages 6-17. Currently, our ministry consists of ten youth who are dedicated and enjoy dancing for GOD!! Our Scripture: 1Chronicles16:29 “Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. Dance before him, all the earth;”
SENIOR CITIZENS GUILD
The mission of the Senior Citizen Ministry is to provide an opportunity for senior citizens of the Original First African Baptist Church to come together to fellowship, study and participate in Christian activities.
SUNDAY SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
The mission of the Sunday School Department is to provide for all ages the teaching of the Lord's word based on the scriptures in the Holy Bible.
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
The vehicle is primarily for The Original First African Baptist Church and its sponsored ministries, auxiliaries, and departments and may be used with the permission of the Transportation Committee for recommendation to the church body.
WILLING WORKERS MINISTRY
The mission of the Original First African Baptist Church Willing Workers is to render services to our church family and the community.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MINISTRY
Vacation Bible School is a school of Christian education for all ages conducted at the church for five to ten days in the summer. Vacation Bible School provides teachers and students with a curriculum and instructions centered in the word of God.
YOUTH MINISTRY
The mission of the Youth Ministry is to encourage Christian Education and religious training for the youth of the church through church worship, Sunday School, school, and youth ministries.
